Host: George Noory
Guests: Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz, Dr. Tony Youn

Neuropsychiatrist, physician, and medical intuitive Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz discussed how she uses intuition to diagnose health problems. She first became interested in medical intuition when she sought treatment for her own health problems. Working with clients over the phone, she makes a drawing of their brain and body, and the various connections. One could think of the body like a car's dashboard with various warning lights, she said. When we get symptoms in the body, these can be like warning lights, that we need to figure out what's behind them, she continued.

Dr. Schulz outlined 7 warning lights on the body's dashboard or 'emotional centers' that light up when undergoing a particular issue in your life:

1. immune system, bones, joints and skin-- related to problems with family or other group in your life.
2. lower back, uterus, ovaries, pelvis-- problems balancing money & love.
3. digestive track, weight, addictions-- this area will intuitively light up to let you know you have problems with work or self-esteem.
4. heart, breasts, lungs-- this will light up with symptoms like hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma-- related to problems with mood, emotional expression, and anxiety.
5. neck, thyroid-- lights up around problems with communication, being heard.
6. brain, eyes, ears-- symptoms include headaches, tinnitus, and eye problems-- has to do with how you perceive the world.
7. life threatening illness-- like cancer, has to do with the question 'why am I here?' and spiritual purpose.

She also talked about her training techniques at her Intuition Academy, and how sometimes when you hear a voice in your head you may be being picking up the thoughts of others. The area in the brain where intuition is located is near where spirituality is, and that is why people sometimes confuse the two, she noted. Ultimately, Dr. Schulz said, you have to combine intuition with information to make the best decisions.

Plastic Surgery & Medical Secrets

First hour guest, plastic surgeon Dr. Tony Youn spoke about some of the cases he's worked on, as well as insider medical secrets. Some people that have a lot of plastic surgery suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, in which they don't see themselves the way that others see them, he explained. Dr. Youn revealed that July is the worst month to get sick and go to the hospital-- as this is when the new interns start, and they are more likely to make mistakes than seasoned doctors.
